The University of Akron Dance Program Offers an Engaging Experience for High School Students

AKRON, OH – The University of Akron Dance Program invites dance educators and their students to Dance Day Friday, March 17, 2017 from 1:00-6:00 p.m. in Guzzetta Hall on The University of Akron campus.

This engaging and free event is for high school students who are interested in a career in dance and learning about dance at the collegiate level. Teachers and advisors are also welcome.

Dance Day is an ideal opportunity to learn first-hand about UA’s exciting Dance Program. The free event will offer an immersive experience with dance faculty and dance students. Participants will take a master class in ballet technique, participate in a workshop on effective auditioning strategies, experience dance somatics, hear from UA Dance alumni, and attend an informal performance presented by UA Dance students.
