University of Akron Steel Drum Band

The University of Akron Steel Drum Band brings to you the sounds of Trinidad and Tobago.

Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) presents The University of Akron Steel Drum Band at Copley High School, 3807 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, on March 24, 2018 at 8pm. Travel to Trinidad and Tobago in your own back yard and dance in the aisles to the sizzling sounds of this high energy band. Students from the Copley Steel Drum Band will also participate. Founded by Dr. Larry Snider, and directed by Matt Dudack, this award winning steel drum ensemble is an excellent way to usher in spring. You will leave this concert energized and renewed! A portion of proceeds from the concert will benefit Copley music programs. Tickets are $10 in advance and are available online at ormaco.org (credit card processing fee applies) or by calling 330-722-2541. Tickets at the door are $12, cash or checks only.
