Looking for 3 women and 2 men to join an original musical theater production in Kent, Ohio.

Tarot Cabaret explores how fate lands a soldier returning from war in a mysterious nightclub inhabited by characters from the tarot. The Lovers, Death, the Devil, and other iconic characters guide the Fool through a musical purgatory that rides the knife edge of fate and free will.

Tarot Cabaret is written by Leroy Guignol with music by Bryan Thomas (Kent State University, Hey Mavis) and directed by Jeff St.Clair (WKSU).

NEEDED:

The Soldier/ Fool: Male ( 18 – 30 ) Some singing ability and physicality
The Showgirl/ Lover: Female ( 18 – 30 ) Some singing ability and physicality
The Diva / High Priestess: Female ( 30 – 55 ) Strong singing required, and love of character acting
The MC / Magician: Male ( 30 – 55 ) Strong singing required, magic training a plus
The Medium/ Hermit: Female ( any age ) Character actor, comfortable with tarot card reading

PLEASE PREPARE A SONG ( a cappella for audition ) - plus a brief monologue is encouraged, and cold reading from the script.

WHEN: Open Auditions on Monday July 18th – 7:30 – 9:00pm and Friday July 22 7:30 -9:00pm AND by appointment July 18th – 22nd, 10am-12pm.
