Inlet Dance Theatre's Summer Dance Intensive '17 (SDI '17) is an aggressive six and a half week training program for ages twelve through young adult. The SDI '17 focuses on increasing technical skill sets, collaborative creative process, performing improvisation and repertory. The SDI '17 allows students to experience being a dancer in a professional dance company. SDI '17 students will learn nontraditional partnering, Hawkins-based release technique, performance improvisation, composition, and repertory. SDI '17 culminates with performances at Cain Park Evans Amphitheater.
6.5 Weeks - June 14- July 28, 2017
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday - Friday
Classes will include nontraditional partnering, Hawkins-based release technique, performance improvisation, composition, and repertory.
Student will receive multiple performance opportunities including an informal showing June 30, 2017 and the culminating concerts at Cain Park Evens Amphitheater July 26-27, 2017.

Tuition for SDI'17 is $1450* (cost includes all instruction for 6.5 weeks, rehearsals, an Inlet shirt, registration fees and costuming).

Rehearsal Blocks A, B, and C will include and rotate between Improvisation, Nontraditional Partnering, Girls/ Guys Rehearsal, and Ensemble Rehearsal. Of course things are subject to change and sometimes we do things a little differently. For example, you might have the opportunity to watch the Company rehearse!

2.5 week Option: June 14 – June 30, 2017
This program is 2.5 weeks long and runs June 14 - June 30 and costs only $485. This includes all morning modern technique classes and afternoon sessions in Improvisation, Nontraditional Partnering, and Choreography. Students in the 2.5 Option will be featured in a performance to showcase their talent and growth as dancers at the end of their program.
10 class card:
June 19- July 21, 2017-Students may participate in ten morning technique classes. (9:30-11am) - $150
Single class:
June 19- July 21, 2017- Students may drop in to take a single morning technique class. (9:30-11am) - $15/class
