Die Meistersinger

at EJ Thomas Performing Arts Hall - University of Akron, Akron OH

Oct 06 2017
Die Meistersinger

Brahms, Beethoven and Wagner form a lineage that is central to all of Western music. Each one extended the great tradition and brought it to daring new heights of the Baroque, Classical and Romantic ages, respectively.

Much of this music is familiar to almost every American. With Die Meistersinger, the Akron Symphony delivers some of Wagner’s most joyous and rhapsodic music for the first time, utilizing an orchestra and powerful chorus.
