William Schock studied at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and was a professor of art at Kent State University. Nationally recognized as a painter, one of his well-known local works is a series of murals depicting sports at Kent State’s Memorial Gymnasium. Schock’s oil painting is rich in color.
