Peninsula Candlelight Walk

FEATURING

*Ceremonial Tree Lighting at 6:00pm at the Bronson Church Green featuring choirs from Woodridge and Kent Roosevelt High Schools, followed by music in the historic Bronson Church.

*Enjoy cookies, cider, and roasting chestnuts at the Log Cabin Gallery.

*”A Vintage Rockin’ 60’s Christmas” program with slides by Bill Brauning from 7-8pm will be presented at the Peninsula Library. Also on display at the Library will be holiday mini-trees decorated by local merchants/organizations and raffle tickets for the trees will be sold. The winner gets to take the tree home just in time for the holidays. This event benefits the Carol Wright Children’s Fund for children’s programming as well as the Chamber of Commerce. 

*Get in the Holiday spirit by wearing an ugly Christmas sweater and stop by the Yellow Creek Trading Company and get a % off of a holiday item. Wine and cheese will be offered.

*The GAR Hall will be presenting a concert at 8pm by popular singer/songwriter Brent Kirby. This is a ticketed Holiday concert and information is at www.peninsulahistory.org.

*The newly restored former Bank Building will host a holiday pop-up shop, BluEyeDog Modern Market, which will have tastings of some of their vendors’ products as well as serve a beverage. 

* As you stroll around Peninsula you will enjoy the luminaries and costumed villagers from Hale Farm as well as hearing the carillon bells from the Methodist Church which will be open through the evening. 

*Trail Mix Store will be serving hot chocolate and teaching a craft.

*Century Cycle will serve cider as well as have deals on bikes and accessories.

*Brown Rabbit will be serving Baileys Irish Cream and hot hors d’oeuvres. 

*The Peninsula Art Academy will be presenting their holiday show, “Artful Gifts” which will run from Nov. 17-January 5, 2019
