Art & Ale Preview Tasting, featuring Snack

Get an exclusive preview of ART & ALE and enjoy a decadent evening of Thirsty Dog Brewing Company beer alongside gourmet selections from Acme Fresh Market Catering inspired by the Akron Art Museum’s newest exhibition, Snack.

This is a preview event for the museum’s annual fundraiser Art & Ale on Friday, March 11. Click here to purchase tickets for that event. Enjoy a decadent evening of Thirsty Dog Brewing Company beer alongside gourmet selections from Acme Fresh Market Catering inspired by the Akron Art Museum’s newest exhibition Snack. The tasting will begin with a curator led tour of the exhibition featuring a (mostly) lighthearted look at works drawn primarily from the Akron Art Museum collection that depict food or the places we buy and consume it through humor, pop culture and nostalgia.  After the tour, participants will gather for a private pairing featuring Labrador Lager, Bernese Barley Wine Ale, Rise of Mayan Dog Chocolate Honey Stout, Irish Setter Red, Citra Dog and “snacks” in the Beatrice Knapp McDowell Grand Lobby of the museum. Admission is $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers.
