Elly Dallas explores of the idea that the personal is political. Employing Direct Action/Gentle Activism, she believes that change can be made by sharing the smallest of stories, producing a lasting effect on her community and herself. Dallas achieves this through working intimately with groups of individuals, making art, sharing stories and inspiring each other. Elly has been utilizing processes and materials that lend themselves to a small format such as diary comics, zines, relief cuts, and embroidery, many of which you can see in this exhibition.
