The Herb Society of America is dedicated to promoting the knowledge, use, and appreciation of herbs through educational programs, research, and sharing the experience of its members.

To that end, the organization is inviting applications for the HSA Research Grant program. Through the program, a single grant of $5,000 will be awarded in support of research on the horticultural, scientific, and/or social use of herbs. The proposed research must define an herb as historically useful for flavoring, medicinal, ornamental, economic, industrial, or cosmetic purposes.

Eligible applicants include students, professionals, or individuals. Only U.S. residents may apply.

See the Herb Society of America website for complete program guidelines, application instructions, and information about previous awardees.
