Zoom event with author Robert Gaudi, author of The War of Jenkins’ Ear: The Forgotten Struggle for North and South America: 1739-1742

On Monday, November 1 at 7 p.m. the Hudson Library & Historical Society will host a live virtual streaming event with Robert Gaudi, author of The War of Jenkins’ Ear: The Forgotten Struggle for North and South America: 1739-1742. Dubbed “action-packed [and] extensively researched” by Publishers Weekly, The War of Jenkins’ Ear delivers the incredible story of a forgotten war that shaped the fate of the United States and the entire Western Hemisphere.

In the early 18th century, the British and Spanish Empires were fighting for economic supremacy in the Americas.  Wars blossomed like violent flowers for nearly a hundred years, from the War of Spanish Succession, culminating in the War of Jenkins’ Ear.
