Michael Lodersted is an interdisciplinary artist. His residency work encompasses memoir and poetry combined with photography and small sculpture installations in an exhibition titled “Why We Fished”.
Michael’s work is largely influenced by his formative years spent on a remote island off the coast of North Carolina and the devastation it now faces from overdevelopment of the land, overfishing and climate change. He uses his autobiographical voice to mark these moments in history.
