Learn the art of collaging techniques to create a unique image. You will be guided through incorporating various art supplies and mediums to make a piece of art. Engage in the practice of mindfulness during the process to create something fun and/or meaningful. The aim of this workshop is to learn the basics of collage, and how to manipulate images to create a new and cohesive image. We will engage in short meditation to channel creativity and be present in the moment. You will have the option to merge magazine images, pictures, paint, drawing, and other embellishments into your image.
Collaging is a conscious process of finding and using images, but it can also be an unconscious process. We will look at the finished work, and talk about any other themes and ideas that arise. The take-away of this workshop is getting into the creative process and personal understanding through mindfulness and reflecting on the final product.
All supplies included to make collage. You are welcome to bring any personal/unique items you would like to incorporate.
