Joe Lovano joins the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra for a wide-ranging concert, featuring excerpts from Coltrane, Lovano’s album “Celebrating Sinatra,” and the 2007 CJO recording with him, “The Surprise of Being.”
The Cleveland Jazz Orchestra will finish its 2022-2023 season with Joe Lovano, who is one of the seminal voices of the tenor saxophone of the last 40 years. We’ve created an extraordinary program that covers Coltrane, Sinatra, and excerpts from “The Surprise of Being,” which featured Joe in an historic collaboration with the CJO at Birdland in NYC, 2006. We will also be joined by Joe’s wife, vocalist Judi Silvano. A heroic evening and a rousing conclusion to our season!
