The Backyard at Lock 3 Park

Akron’s Lock 3 welcomes guests back for the 21st season of amazing bands, festivals and family-fun entertainment in downtown Akron. Since opening in 2003, Lock 3 has hosted more than four million visitors and is set to host the first Rock the Lock concert, presented by WONE on Fri., June 23, 2023 with Into The Blue a Tribute to ELO and Jersey.

Due to ongoing improvements in Lock 3 Park, the Rock the Lock Concerts, Saturday Concerts, including Old School Soul, and Movies will be held in Lock 3’s Backyard. The Backyard is located behind the original stage, next to The Akron Civic Theatre. Guests can enter from W. Bowery St. and parking is located at the State Street parking deck and Cascade parking deck. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Please bring your chair or blanket.  Live & Local Concerts, Gospel Sundays and On The Plaza (sponsored by Downtown Akron Partnership) fitness, skate nights and line dancing will be held at Cascade Plaza on Main St between W. Bowery and Mill Streets.
