Join artist Althea Jones and the Cummings Center for the History of Psychology for a specialized tour and moderated discussion on the subjects of race, skin color, and the history of psychology.

Join artist Althea Jones and the Cummings Center for the History of Psychology for a specialized tour and moderated discussion on the subjects of race, skin color, and the history of psychology. Visitors will engage with the complex history of race and psychological science through the Cummings Center’s National Museum of Psychology, followed by a behind-the-scenes look at Jones’ new collaborative work: Skin Color.

This event is presented in partnership with Akron Soul Train.

Limited space is available for this tour and registration is required.

5:30 pm – 6:45 pm: Visitors will explore the National Museum of Psychology through the Cummings Center’s guided Race & Psychology Tour, which examines the power of psychological science to both reinforce and resist systems of racial injustice. PARKING INFO

Free parking is available in the lot directly adjacent to the building. This lot contains a dedicated accessible parking spot near the museum entrance.

Free parking is also available in Lot 30 at the corner of College and Market streets, which contains several accessible parking spaces.

Metered parking is available along South College Street. Pavement from Lot 30 and metered parking may be uneven, and people with limited mobility should exercise caution.
