ABOUT THE TEACHERS:
Rachel Basham and Alan Beers
Rachel trained with a nonprofit organization in Brighton, Michigan for 5 years, volunteering in exchange for her education and training. In her time there she co-facilitated multi-day retreats, single day intensives, and 3 hour intro workshops for survivors of all severe traumas, but primarily that of sexual assault. She trained alongside some of the most renowned breathwork practitioners in the world.

Rachel Basham and Alan Beers
Rachel trained with a nonprofit organization in Brighton, Michigan for 5 years, volunteering in exchange for her education and training. In her time there she co-facilitated multi-day retreats, single day intensives, and 3 hour intro workshops for survivors of all severe traumas, but primarily that of sexual assault. She trained alongside some of the most renowned breathwork practitioners in the world.
Alan trained with Wim Hof Method and Tummo (“Inner Fire” meditation), he has been practicing breathwork for 2 years. Alan also facilitates shamanic drum journeys (meditations which use only the beat of a drum to allow for altered states of consciousness and deep inner experiences).
In each of their daily practices they naturally began blending their background educations and found an amazing synergy which was developed into the modality called Breath of Empowerment.
Separately, both Alan and Rachel have been presented with many hardships and struggles in their lives, especially from their childhoods and early adult lives. These difficult experiences created a drive to seek out answers as to why certain patterns and situations seemed to show up repeatedly. They each began looking inward at their emotional response systems searching for the underlying root causes. They dove deep into the aspects of their psychological shadows which were creating and attracting these repeated hardships. They spent years focusing on their inner work, taking many hard looks at themselves and their relationships with others. Through the eclectic path this process took them on they were introduced to many pathways and great teachers. This journey of self-discovery eventually brought them together. The pathways they learned along the worked well for them have strong impacts on others, easing their lives. Rachel and Alan love to share the knowledge and techniques they’ve learned and share these teachings with the intention to empower others to create the positive personal changes they want in their daily lives.
In addition to breathwork, Rachel and Alan are both certified Master Usui Reiki practitioners, work with the Diamond Light Body, and trained though apprenticeship with a master sound healer to learn sound vibrational chakra balancing.
Rachel provides energetic body work which includes reiki massage, rhythmic movement re-patterning, harmonic touchpoints, and channeled trauma release meditation.

You may also bring any sacred items you wish to have near you during your journey (optional).
