For the fourth year, First Congregational Church of Hudson is inviting members of the community to audition for their Spring Choral/Orchestral piece. This year, they are performing Christ lag in Todesbanden (Cantata #4) by Johann Sebastian Bach. It will be performed in the original German language with members of the Akron Symphony as the chamber orchestra.

Open auditions for both chorus and SATB soloists are Sunday 11 February from 1:00 – 4:00 at the church, 47 Aurora Street. Anyone who cannot make this audition time can call Dr. Thomas M. Scott, Director of Music Ministries, at 330.650.4048 to arrange a personal audition. Rehearsals will be on Mondays beginning 19 February and ending 2 April. There will be TWO performances this year: Sunday morning 8 April (during service) at Bath UCC, and the following Sunday 15 April (in service) at First Congregational Church of Hudson.

A group of singers and instrumentalists that grew out of this yearly collaboration performed the Fauré Requiem at Carnegie Hall on 26 May 2017 to critical review.
