DTVision invites you to apply to become one of the five featured Artists to co-facilitate #dreamUP330 workshops. DTVision aims to empower women in the community by providing a fun and interactive make-and-take project in a relaxed environment. Upon completing the workshop, women will leave with a self-created, iconic work of art that represents their personal goal as a reminder of the dreams they can achieve. THEME
3-D art should be an expression of the vision a woman may have for her life. The piece of art designed by the artist and taught to adult women will be used as a mantra reminder to the women in their daily lives, whether displayed in their homes or in their workplaces. The women participants will showcase their artistic pieces in a culminating gallery showcase.
PAYMENT
DTVision will pay between $500-$1000 to selected artists to co-facilitate one teaching workshop during 2017. Final fee will be dependent on the art piece selected to teach adults at the novice level how to create.
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR ARTWORK SAMPLES
We are accepting three dimensional (3d) samples of artists' work. No larger than 1.5' x 1.5', 10 lbs. Akron residents preferred, but not required. Art samples will be reviewed by the selection committee of the #dreamup330 project on a rolling basis through November 6, 2016. No more than 6 art samples permitted for submission and upload. No limitations on materials used to create the artistic piece.
