Hazel Tree Design Studio is excited to be the interior design firm behind the Bounce Innovation Hub second floor expansion of The Generator co-working space. Through this project, we are once again provided the opportunity to highlight and invest in Northeast Ohio’s sustained and thriving art scene.

Since we are now firmly entrenched in National Poetry Month, one of the ways we want to showcase our city and region is by including work from the wealth of literary artists in our area; and as the second floor expansion project (which we lovingly call “Bounce 2.0”) has begun to gather momentum, we are opening submissions from local and regional poets to be purchased and incorporated into the second floor decor at Bounce Innovation Hub.

We are not accepting just poems. We want to see your best poems celebrating Akron and/or the concept of innovation. We are accepting poems that speak to and about Akron. We are accepting poems that innovate, poems that lead from the front, poems that anticipate the changes before the wind does, poems that can decipher the tea leaves, poems that plant their flag on the hill upon which our city rests.

Please email submissions of up to three (3) poems to Steve Brightman at art@hazeltreeinteriors.com and include the following information in your submission:

  • Name, address and contact information
  • Poem title(s) and poems, in Microsoft Word, Google Doc, or .pdf format
  • Please no profanity, this will be displayed for an all-age audience in a public space.

All submissions are due by July 15, 2024.

For more information or to have any questions answered, please contact Steve Brightman at (330) 761-3100 or art@hazeltreeinteriors.com.
