Customer Service and Sales Coordinator

Job Description
The Customer Service and Sales Coordinator oversees group sales, private car rentals, and education program reservations as well as supporting the customer service team. This position reports directly to the Ticket Operations & Customer Service Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Customer Service
Deals directly with customers either by telephone, electronically or face-to-face
Developing and training part time ticket staff
Support part-time employees with problem-solving and customer service
Obtains and evaluates all relevant information to handle inquiries and complaints
Resolves customer complaints in a timely manner
Generate reports for information on ticket sales
Assist with special events as assigned
All other duties as assigned by Manager of Ticket Operations & Customer Service
Sales
Oversee group sales reservations, education program reservations, and private car rental reservations.
Manages the spending of education grants and invoices schools appropriately
Serves as a liaison with the National Park Service's education division
Builds education trips in ticketing system
Manage unpaid orders and reservations
Monitor and maintain internal logs
Works with vendors to create enticing packages and recruit businesses, schools and corporations to book outings on the train
Train staff on the best practices to handle group and private car rental reservations and payments, and other tasks
Assists with the training of volunteers for events
Works with all departments to ensure staff is aware of private events, groups, and other events.
Conduct pre- and post - event evaluations and report on outcomes

REQUIREMENTS

Must have high school diploma or GED.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including typing skills.   Experience with Retail/Tourism and/or Ticketing software (POS) preferred.
Must have ability to stand for extended periods of time and physical capabilities to lift 40 lbs.
Must be able to stand, sit, and/or walk on a moving train for short durations.
Must have good organizational skills with time management.
Must have good and courteous customer skills in directly dealing with customers, vendors, staff, and

volunteers, including accountability of keeping track of customers, vendors, and other service

providers with accurate and up to date information.
Must be able to manage paper and digital filing systems.
Must have valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Working Hours

Full-time employment with benefits – 40 hours per week.
