BASIC FUNCTION:

To ensure the theater is accessible for tenants and performers, and maintain the security of the stage door entrance as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Secure the stage door entrance as instructed by stage manager and event manager.
  • Retrieve and set up tables, linens, chairs, etc. as needed by tenants and managers.
  • Monitor the handicapped spaces in the employee lot as instructed.
  • Remove trash from the backstage area as needed.
  • Secure the entire building after events.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work with people.
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs.
  • Must be available to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous doorman experience.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification in first aid procedures including CPR.

COMPENSATION:

  • Part-time, hourly position.

  1. I was a doorman at The Cleveland Improv. I love the Civic and I think it would be cool to work part time there.
