Salary: Hourly; $9.50/hour up to 40 hours/week, for up to 18 wks

Benefits: Participation in the Ohio Public Employee Retirement System (OPERS) is mandatory.

Profile: Reports to the Regional Manager, or Operations Service Manager, and will also receive direction from the Park Manager, Assistant Park Manager, Crew Leader or other designated supervisor. Cuts grass, weeds and brush primarily using hand tools and mowers. Weeds and cultivates park grounds. Cleans restrooms and buildings. Performs other related custodial duties. Cleans culverts, ditches and other drainage facilities. Grades and maintains trails, picnic areas and other facilities. Assists in special events and activities sponsored by the park district. Participates in the safety and risk management programs of the park district. May perform the duties of a boat attendant. Performs other related duties as assigned by supervision. Works on projects outside of maintenance to assist management.

Qualifications: Must be currently enrolled in park management, natural resources management or closely related degree program from an accredited university or college. May be enrolled in an associate's, bachelor's or master's degree program.

Conditions of Employment: Must successfully complete a four-week probationary period.
