Performing Artist - Summer Art Camp

Performing artist needed to deliver 2-hour workshops during children’s summer art camp.

Provide exposure, challenge, exercise, education and fun to children ages 6-13 in variety of performing arts, based on your background and expertise. Arts can include dance, music, poetry, acting, theatre or film. Minimum of 2 afternoon sessions during weekly Arts Summer Camp. Dates:  June 13-17 (Let’s go to the Circus) or July 18 – 22 (A day at the Beach). Location: The Edge Sports & Arts Academy, Twinsburg, OH. During the week-long camp, the children will be exposed to visual arts including pastels, painting, clay, drawing in the morning and then performing arts in the afternoon. Camp size will be limited to 20 children and all State of Ohio COVID recommendations will be followed.

The Edge Sports & Arts Academy (The Edge) is dedicated to helping youth cultivate their character and contribute to the world through the vehicles of sports and arts.  It believes these vehicles provide an excellent training ground for youth to develop their God-given gifts and form character traits that will serve them and the world for a lifetime.

Established in 2015 as a 501 c3, non-profit outreach of Destiny Church, The Edge is located in Twinsburg Ohio. The Edge offers sports program and services including soccer, volleyball, basketball leagues and performance training.  The 54,000 square foot facility houses an indoor turf field, four hardwood basketball courts/five volleyball courts, sports performance center, full kitchen, café, and modern conference room. In June 2021 the Arts component was launched with two visual/performing arts camp.
