Bedrock and LAND studio are seeking artists interested in designing and producing public artwork that pays homage to Stones Levee Bridge, a historic bridge located in the Flats District of Cleveland. As part of reconnecting the Cuyahoga Riverfront with Cleveland’s downtown via Eagle Avenue, Stones Levee Bridge will be removed. Despite its existing closure and disrepair, the bridge is eligible for the historic registry and should be remembered for its engineering and structural significance.
This project will be divided into two phases:
Phase 1: Conceptual Design Development
Phase 2: Finalization of Design, Production, and Installation. Anticipated completion in 2027.
Artists are invited to participate in Phase 1, focusing on the creation of unique conceptual designs that integrate seamlessly into the urban landscape to celebrate the Stones Levee Bridge through creativity and public art.
This call is open to qualified artists or teams ages 18 and older. Greater Cleveland artists and artists with ties to the region are strongly encouraged to participate.
