18th Annual Akron New Music Festival

The New Music Festival will feature a handful of events from Wednesday April 25th to Thursday April 26th. All events are free and open to the public.

Join UA faculty, students, and guest composer Tony Donofrio for two days of New Music events between Wednesday, April 25th and Thursday, April 26th. The 18th annual New Music Festival will feature an opportunity to meet the guest composer, two composers forums, a concert at the Akron Art Museum, and a masterclass with guest composer Tony Donofrio. A schedule of events has been listed below and in the photo gallery.

Meet the Composer: Wednesday, April 25th at 5:00 p.m. in Guzzetta Hall 149

Composers Forum I: Wednesday, April 25th. 7:30 p.m. in Guzzetta Recital Hall

New Music at the Museum: Thursday, April 26th at 1:00 p.m. at the Akron Art Museum

Guest Masterclass: Thursday, April 26th at 5:00 p.m  in Guzzetta Hall, room 147

Composers Forum II: Thursday, April 26th at 7:30 p.m. in Guzzetta Recital Hall

PARKING INFO

Parking for audience members attending evening and weekend performances is free in the E.J. Thomas Hall deck when there is not an event in that venue. Handicap-accessible parking for audience members is available in all lots, including the residential surface lot across from Guzzetta Hall.
