Jessica Tong & Michael Sheppard
Arts @ Holy Trinity, now in its 39th season, is Akron’s only series featuring award-winning virtuosi, ensembles, and instructors free to the public.
Canadian violinist Jessica Tong has garnered international acclaim, having been a top prizewinner at the Eckhardt-Gramatté Competition, the Toronto Symphony, Canadian Music, and Yellow Springs International Chamber Music Competitions. She has previously served as the first violinist of both Vinca and Larchmere String Quartets and is currently the Violin Professor at the State University of New York at Fredonia and Chamber Music Director of the Composers Conference at Brandeis University.
Pianist Michael Sheppard was the winner of the prestigious American Pianists Association Classical Fellow Award — a designation that led to the release of a critically acclaimed solo recording by Harmonia Mundi in 2007. Join us for a delicious meal and an in-depth Q&A with the artists following the concert at 6 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person or $20 for students.
Menu: Dinner rolls with butter, garden salad (mixed greens, tomato, cucumber, red onion) with Italian dressing, chicken parmesan, red bliss mashed potatoes, green bean almondine, red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. Vegan meals are available upon request at the time of ticketing.
