Assassins: The Musical

Presented by Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) at Western Reserve Playhouse, Richfield OH

Nov 10 2019
Assassins: The Musical

Due to the mature nature of this show, it is not recommended for children.

Join Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) in a private, fully staged production of the rarely performed Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman musical Assassins, produced by The Western Reserve Playhouse and performed by some of the top musical theater talent in NE Ohio, on November 10, 2019 at 2 pm.

From John Wilkes Booth to Lee Harvey Oswald, this dark, thought-provoking musical bends the rules of time and space, taking us on a nightmarish roller-coaster ride in which assassins and would-be assassins from different historical periods meet, interact and in an intense final scene inspire each other to horrifying acts in the name of their “American Dream”. This musical asks us to examine assassins motivations and question what in our culture creates such men and women. The Broadway revival of this bold, original and surreal musical won five Tony Awards in 2004.
