Printmakers April Bleakney and Rebekah Wilhelm will walk us through their exhibition “Dual Forces” now showing at Akron Soul Train.
April Bleakney’s screen prints and zines investigate her twenty year collection of cookie fortunes and their potentially powerful universal truths and messages. Some fortunes may seem humorous or foreboding, but these prints will explore their surprising insight.
Rebecca Wilhelm’s mixed media prints explore the barrier between artist intention and viewer perception. Her large scale installation examines the power dynamic and relationship between artist and audience.
