Feral Cat House Workshop

Presented by Uno's Happy Endings Rescue at Akron-Summit County Public Library, Firestone Park Branch, Akron OH

Oct 05 2019
Feral Cat House Workshop

**CHILDREN ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND, but parents will have to handle any knives or cutting equipment**

Join us as we demonstrate how to build winterized houses for feral cats. Materials will be provided to build, assemble and decorate your very own feral cat house. We will have snacks and beverages available as well as some raffle baskets. Unfortunately, this is not a pet-friendly event, so bring photos to share but leave Fido at home for this ❤️

We will have enough materials for 30 people, but you may still attend even if you do not wish to build a house. If you would like to bring your own materials (you keep your finished product) please see the list below:

– 2 plastic totes with lids (one smaller than the other so it may fit inside)
– straw (NOT hay, Hay doesn’t insulate well)
– styrofoam or packing peanuts/other insulation
– reflective foil or heat-reflective blanket
– Utility Knife to cut plastic
– 800 grit sandpaper OR duct tape

We look forward to seeing everyone and to helping dozens of needy cats this winter!

ADMISSION INFO

There is no cost to attend. All houses assembled out of the provided materials will be donated to cats in need via Uno’s Happy Endings Rescue – however, if you wish to keep your customized project you may do so either by bringing your own materials (listed below) or by making a donation of $20 to the rescue.
