Hale Farm Explorer - Akron Northside

Travel by train to this premier collection and property of Western Reserve Historical Society! Located in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Hale Farm & Village is an outdoor living history museum. Here you will experience daily mid-19th century life depicted through dozens of historic structures, farm animals, heritage gardens, cooking presentations and demonstrations of Early American craft and trades.

 

 

You board the train at the Akron Northside Station then a tram will meet you at the Indigo Lake Station, where you will travel to historic Hale Farm & Village.

Food service is available at Hale Farm & Village.

TIMING OF EVENT:
10:50 a.m. – Depart Akron Northside Station
11:20 a.m. – Arrive Indigo Lake/ Hale Farm  *tram picks up passengers and takes to Hale Farm
3:15 p.m. – Board train to return back to Akron Northside *tram returns passengers to Indigo Lake
6:00 p.m. – Arrive back at Akron Northside Station.

PLEASE NOTE: All passengers interested in shortening their stay at Hale Farm and wishing to return at an alternate departure time, must walk the 3/4 mile hill between Indigo Lake Station and Hale Farm & Village and adhere to train schedule.
