In the Shadow: Artwork from the Total Solar Eclipse

A special exhibition at Summit Artspace showcasing Northeast Ohio artists’ work created in reaction to the total solar eclipse that took place on April 8, 2024, at 3:15 p.m.

In recognition of the total solar eclipse crossing over Northeast Ohio on April 8, 2024, at 3:15 p.m., Summit Artspace is hosting the exhibition In the Shadow: Artwork from the Total Solar Eclipse for artists who have created work in response to experiencing this special event.

Local artists, who were inspired by the idea of witnessing this once-in-a-lifetime astronomical event, were encouraged to apply to Summit Artspace’s free call for art for this unique exhibition.

In the Shadow: Artwork from the Total Solar Eclipse is a special addition to Summit Artspace’s Spring Exhibition Season, and is on view May 24 through June 15, 2024.

All of Summit Artspace’s exhibitions are free to view every Friday 12-7 p.m. and every Saturday 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
