Experience the intriguing beauty of Machaut’s medieval masterpiece when Les Délices joins forces with Boston’s Blue Heron.
Guillaume de Machaut’s flowing melodies become brilliant rainbows when refracted into three-voice canons in his Lai of the Fountain. Works by Johannes Ciconia and others aid our exploration of the Medieval garden’s subtle beauty in this collaboration with Blue Heron.
This 60-minute concert features on-screen supertitles, “notes” on the program, artist interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage for an optimized virtual concert hall experience with high-quality video and audio. The premiere will include exclusive pre- and post-concert content with artists and special guests. Concerts will remain accessible online for 11 days following the premiere. Audiences can also join the artists for a celebratory online “closing reception” complete with additional live performances.
