In this one-day intensive workshop, participants can explore the ancient art of marbling on paper.

BEGINNING – ADVANCED: In this one-day intensive workshop, participants can explore the ancient art of marbling on paper. The workshop encompasses an exploration of patterns and design through marbling on various types of paper. The color combinations and marbling techniques will be examined using both traditional (Ebru) and non-traditional approaches. Attendees, whether beginners or advanced, can anticipate creating between 12 to 40 sheets of marbled paper, depending on their individual pace.

The marbling process involves suspending inks on a bed of thickened water (carrageenan), and these inks are manipulated through a sequence of swirls, zigzags, and other gestures to achieve a desired design.
