Recycled Craft STEAM Challenge

For ages 11 and under – photos due between 10/19 and 10/31
Get your kids creating this fall by participating in our Recycled Craft STEAM Challenge. STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math, and is an educational philosophy emphasizing critical thinking and innovation. According to educators, it’s never too early to encourage children to think outside the box. 

Build something at home using recycled materials, objects found around the house, or items collected outside, and we’ll showcase it for everyone to enjoy online. Projects can be flat or multi-dimensional. Please send a photo of your child’s project along with the following:

•         Child’s Name

•         Age

•         Title of creation

•         Category

o   Cities, buildings, houses, bridges

o   Vehicles such as cars, planes, rockets or construction trucks

o   Animals, monsters, robots, people

Please email your entry to kcasa@smfpl.org any time between Monday, Oct. 19 and Saturday, Oct. 31. Only one entry per child. We will showcase your creation on our Facebook page on Monday, Nov. 9. Please note this program is just for fun. No prizes will be awarded.
