Presented by Open Tone Music, LLC. at Blu Jazz+, Akron OH

Rubber City Jazz and Blues Festival Fundraiser with Theron Brown

We’re rolling out the “BLU” carpet for a very special cause as we bring some of the area’s most respected jazz musicians to the stage for an epic blues battle in support of the Rubber City Jazz and Blues Festival – Downtown Throwdown w/Theron Brown

Join us for a very special fundraising event at BLU Jazz+ as the Theron Brown Trio hosts fan-favorite musicians Dan Wilson, Nathan-Paul Davis, Tommy Lehman and Chris Anderson in an all out blues battle! All ticket sale proceeds go to support Open Tone Music’s Akron youth programming and The Rubber City Jazz & Blues Festival, so come enjoy an amazing evening of music – all for a good cause!

The Rubber City Jazz & Blues Festival (RCJBF) is dedicated to preserving Akron’s rich and vibrant history in jazz and blues and showcasing today’s stars. Our impact reaches far beyond this 3-day festival. We provide music and arts programming to youth in underserved communities throughout Summit, Lorain, Erie, and Cuyahoga Counties. This year’s festival will feature seven venues in Downtown Akron: BLU Jazz+, Musica, Maiden Lane, High St. Hop House, Akron Civic Theatre, Akron Art Museum, and the Akron-Summit County Public Library.
