Sharing the stage with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra: violinist Nicola Benedetti, a fellow Scott and youngest-ever recipient of the Queen’s Medal for Music.

Tuesday Musical’s Akron Concert Series presents the Scottish Chamber Orchestra with violinist Nicola Benedetti on Thursday, October 20, 7:30 p.m. at EJ Thomas Performing Arts Hall.

Ambassadors for their country’s cultural excellence, the acclaimed Scottish Chamber Orchestra is coming to Akron to present Mendelssohn’s Scottish Symphony — inspired by the composer’s travels to Edinburgh. Sharing the stage will be violinist Nicola Benedetti, a fellow Scott and youngest-ever recipient of the Queen’s Medal for Music.

Single-concert tickets start at $19 at tuesdaymusical.org, 330-761-3460, and at the EJ Thomas Ticket Office on concert night.

Tuesday Musical also provides free tickets for all students as well as bus funding for student groups. Student tickets are available on concert night at the EJ Ticket Office and bus funding information is available at 330-761-3460.
