SUMMER VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS FOR YOUTH

Our Virtual Workshops are back for the summer! Don’t want to commit to a week or two week long camp? Here are a few options! 

These 5-week workshops have been planned and designed to be done online with the goal of bringing the Weathervane Educational experience to your home. All workshops offer LIVE classes via ZOOM each week starting at age 8-17.

Once registered, your class link and other activities will be sent out the Sunday before each class.

Musical Theatre-Interpreting a Song Workshop

Sesssion 1 Ages 8-11 Saturdays 10:00- 11:00 a.m.

Session 1 Ages 12-17 Saturdays 11:30-12:30 p.m.

Dive into Musical Theatre in this fun and interactive workshop! This workshop allows students to work in a small group and get one on one feedback and instruction. Students will review videos and songs from various musicals to discuss and analyze as a class LIVE via ZOOM each week. Students will also be able to share songs that they have been working on with their instructor to get individual feedback. In 5-weeks, our young performers will feel inspired and confident in their musical theatre knowledge and skills.

The Theory of Costume Design

Saturdays 9:00-10:00 a.m. 

Ages 9-17

In this Workshop, students will take a character from script to rendering. Students will learn how research historical periods, to read a script for character information, to create costume plots, French scenes, and to draw a costume rendering. This hands-on workshop will allow students to experience the step by step process of what it takes to be a costume designer.
