The Art of BEING Art Exhibition at Akron Soul Train

The Art of BEING, featuring artists: John W. Carlson, Donna Coleman, Natalie Grieshammer, Joe VanKerkhove, Kristi Copez and Claudia Berlinksi

After a month of remodeling, Akron Soul Train opens its gallery with an exhibition about self-reflection.  The Art of BEING was curated from Akron Soul Train’s member artists. The show runs February 5 – 29, 2020 with an Artists Reception on Thursday, February 13th from 6:00-8:00pm.

The Art of BEING examines who we are and how we fit into the world, our perceived roles, connections between humans and connections to our communities.  Helping us navigate through this dissection are featured artists: John Carlson (Cleveland), Natalie Grieshammer (Stow), Donna Coleman (Oberlin), Joe VanKerkhove (Toledo), Kristi Copez (Shaker Heights) and Claudia Berlinksi (Cortland).

Artists Reception is Thursday, February 13th 6:00-8:00pm and AST gallery is open Wednesday-Saturday 11-4 with extended hours on Feb 20 till 8pm.
