The Diary of Anne Frank
Running April 4 to 20, 2019
“The Diary of Anne Frank”
A drama adapted by Wendy Kesselman from the play by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett
Directed by Terrence Spivey
In this transcendently powerful new adaptation by Wendy Kesselman (from the original stage play by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett), newly discovered writings from the diary of Anne Frank — as well as survivor accounts — are interwoven to create a contemporary and impassioned story. This is a new adaptation for a new generation in which Anne Frank emerges from history as a living, lyrical, intensely gifted young girl, who confronts her rapidly changing life and the increasing horror of her time with astonishing honesty, wit, and determination.
An emotionally heartfelt drama about the lives of eight people hiding from the Nazis in a concealed storage attic during World War II, The Diary of Anne Frank captures the claustrophobic realities of their daily existence — their fear, their hope, their laughter, their grief.

CAST AND CREATIVE TEAM "Rules of the Playground" -- March 22 to 31, 2019"The Rules of the Playground: An Evening of Works by Carolyn Gage" Produced by Queen Bee Production Directed by Deb Lemire Rules of the Playground presents six of Carolyn Gage’s hardest-hitting plays — daring, heartbreaking, principled, bitter and often very funny — exploring cultural norms, expectations and gender roles. Even though these plays were written in the last several decades, some as early as 1987, the subject matter is still relevant. Given today’s rising, global fundamentalism, the #MeToo movement, and the ever-present threat to women’s reproductive autonomy, Gage’s plays inform the important conversations we are having right now. Plays being presented are: The Gage and Mr. Comstock, A Labor Play, The Clarity of Pizza, Black Eye: A Knockout in Nine Minutes, The Rules of the Playground and At Sea. CLICK HERE to read summaries of these short plays. Audience advisory: This production is rated PG-13 due to references to sex, violence, mild drug use, and language. Rules of the Playground is produced and presented by Queen Bee Productions through special arrangement with playwright Carolyn Gage.
