Auditions will be held for The University of Akron School of Dance, Theatre, and Arts Administration’s spring theatre production, William Shakespeare’s “Romeo & Juliet.”
The University of Akron School of Dance, Theatre, and Arts Administration is looking for actors, musicians, and dancers to audition for the Spring Theatre Mainstage production of Romeo and Juliet, written by William Shakespeare and directed by Terence Cranendonk. A timeless classic, this romantic tragedy follows the story of two star-crossed lovers and their feuding families in one of the most famous and widely performed plays of all time.
Full-time rehearsals will begin January 22, 2018. Performance dates will be March 8-11, 15-17, and 21. The cast will also be asked to meet a few times in December 2017 and to memorize lines before full-time rehearsals begin. Auditions are open to students and community members. If you are cast, expect to rehearse Monday through Friday evenings for 3 to 4 hours.

Parking for audience members attending evening and weekend performances is free in the E.J. Thomas Hall deck when there is not an event in that venue. Handicap-accessible parking for audience members is available in all lots, including the residential surface lot across from Guzzetta Hall.
