Young Black Professionals Coalition
The Young Black Professionals Coalition is an organization comprised of young black professionals in the Akron, Ohio area with a focus on the personal, professional and social development of oneself and other young professionals, including high school and college students. The Young Black Professionals Coalition will develop and maintain a yearly scholarship given to graduating high school seniors who meet certain criteria set forth by the scholarship committee. Related programs will focus on the wellness (spiritual, mental, social, and physical, etc.) of young black professionals in the community. The focus of YBPC is to encourage the ongoing education of African-Americans, be a positive, active and effective citizen within the community, enhance the personal and professional development of its members and provide a place for young professionals to network with other ambitious black professionals.
Through quality programming, services and commitment to growth, we provide a foundation for developing the overall person and the exploration of pursuing one’s passion.
