Akron-Canton Airport is looking for visual artists from Stark and/or Summit Counties to add color and vibrancy to the corridors of the airport. In collaboration with MAPS Air Museum, two (2) three-dimensional (3D) forms have been constructed from vintage airplane parts. Local artists are being invited to submit an application to render their own artistic interpretations of Northeast Ohio onto these three-dimensional forms.
Eligibility
Visual artists working in paint are encouraged to apply. Individuals, couples, or collaboratives may apply, but please note that we cannot offer additional budgetary resources to individual members. Artists should have experience working with acrylic paint. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and reside in Stark or Summit County.
