Loolapalooza: Celebrating a Restroom Renaissance

All are welcome to Summit Artspace’s April 1st celebration of a new loo or two with an improved look to serve community members when they hear the call. SA heard the challenge from The Devil Strip to clean up our act.

So we are throwing open the doors for tours and socializing. You can check out the new "reading rooms" and there may even be a chandelier or two. Complimentary admission! There will be light refreshments in a completely different room where there will be entertainment including TP toss and a rubber duck pond. We're still trying to fit in the Scrubbing Bubbles!

We’ll be having The League of Creative Interventionists (creativeinterventionists.com/akron), Let’s Grow Akron (letsgrowakron.org) and artist Brian Simmons helping design an outdoor porcelain garden for the event.  Our first floor gallery will have the FRESH exhibit open, the third floor Box Gallery will have the Artists of Rubber City Member's Show and feel free to attend the opening of Rubber City Shakespeare's "A Comedy of Errors."

Syn-hak  (synhak.org) is creating the mood bathroom lighting and will have some of their work/inventions here on display.  You'll also be able to hob-nob with your favorite “Urine Luck” column ... view more »
